Amsterdam Education Tour

This Amsterdam Education Tour is an introduction to Amsterdam: history, culture, how to move around in the city & ofcourse photo opportunities.

We start with an explanation about the Netherlands/Holland and ofcourse the birth of Amsterdam. Our regular program is focused around the old city center, which is on a few minutes walking distance from Central Station.

The regular tour includes stories of the old harbor neighborhood, inns  & outs of prostitution, galleries & museums, multicultural Amsterdam, stories of WWII and so on.

Some of the (historical) monuments and places we visit during the -regular- Amsterdam Education Tour:

  • old harbor neighborhood
  • oldest house and building
  • monuments from the Golden Century
  • places of resistance in the second world war
  • places connected to Rembrandt
  • China Town
  • small part prostitution area
  • Dam Square

Custom program? Let us know!

Ian & Salomé have years of experience in organizing programs for educational groups. Some tours were ‘basic’ introduction tours, other had specific themes like ‘Amsterdam in WWII’, or wishes to include food stops.

The tour can be custom made to your wishes: we can add a stop to taste a Dutch herring, include lunch, visit other areas, drop-off at museum or dinner restaurant etc.
